The box, allied to An Post’s unrivalled nationwide delivery network, makes Delivery Box the perfect solution for online shoppers, commuters and working families.
From today, Delivery Box becomes a feature of home and business deliveries across Cork following its successful launch in the South East in August. Nationwide rollout of the innovative An Post service is now underway and Delivery Box available throughout the country by January 2015. Delivery Box will operate as an addition to An Post’s existing mails and parcels services.
Priced just €69.99, which includes the specially designed box, access keys, unique barcode security feature, installation template and activation card, Delivery Box will be delivered within 5 working days of ordering.
Delivery Box marks part of An Post’s response to changing consumer needs; the service is ideal for online shopping and for ensuring confidentiality of the mail. No more waiting around for deliveries, no more missed parcels. An Post’s smart scanning system acts as proof of delivery and there’s no need for a signature. And the technology behind Delivery Box enables direct contact with the customer to inform them when a delivery has been made.
An Post saw its contract parcel business increase by 22% in 2013 fuelled by the growth in online and catalogue shopping. The company developed Delivery Box to allow customers to receive parcel and large package deliveries when there is nobody at home. Delivery Box was trialled in urban and rural parts of Dublin, Galway, Waterford and Donegal in 2014 and received a very positive welcome. Customers may also leave stamped mail or online shopping returns in the box for collection by their Postperson.

Delivery Box demonstration models are available to view at post offices and mail delivery units throughout Cork and order forms are available from the local post office.
